My love for crocheting came from a very young age. Having an Italian background crocheting was part of your life, it was nearly as important as cooking, but not quite. I've really only just starting crocheting again, but it's like riding a bike, you never forget and wonder why you ever stopped. I certainly have the bug again, although my choice of products today such as coin purses wouldn't really have made it into your bottom drawer.
