I have knitted this stunning car seat pushchair friendly baby cosytoes using hand spun undyed wool from the Dorset Down sheep. This cosy toes will grow with your baby up to at least 18 months if not longer. I adapted the design to take into account the modern use of pushchairs which morph into baby car seats, it will adapt to any three point harness.
The wool was handspun by a lovely lady April who I had the good fortune to meet here on Folksy it comes from the fleece of a Dorset Down sheep. it is undyed and a slight variation of colour and be seen across the wool. Please be aware of this before purchasing.

I've knitted this coat with your little one in mind and by drawing my own experience of having children,with ease of access both while dressing and most importantly changing a little on without having to undress them completely. I twisted one access point to take into consideration that babies and toddlers are inquisitive and love pulling on buttons so to ensure your little ones toes stay toasty warm the bottom opening fasten underneath toward to back!
The coat has a hood to help against cold draughts but big enough so you can pop your favourite beanie/bonnet on underneath!.

The coat as I have mentioned has a front button band which opens halfway down the from and then a bottom button band which opens right across the bottom. All buttons used are made from coconut shells. Making this a eco-friendly Organic baby car/pram suit.

So many of our childrens clothes are mass produced and made out of manmade materials which overheat our little ones really quickly or fail to keep them warm! Using natural pure wool as a coat will keep your little one warm whilst not over heating them, as natural fibres breath. This coat will also grow with your little one. The fact that the wool is undyed means there have been no chemicals used in the processing of the wool from the Ewe to you. The natural tonal changes are as fleece look on the sheep!
The fleece for this wool came from a Dorset Down breed its was gently wash and brushed then carded and finally spun by the very capable hands of April Grayson who lives in the south of England so can trace her fleeces down to the farm and sometimes even the very sheep they came from as she gets her fleeces from small holdings. Buying a bespoke item like this keeps artisans and small holding farmers in business. It also helps our planet as it is an organic and chemical free process.
