Beautiful vintage Secret Compartment book made from Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility. This hollow book has a lined compartment, lined with the paper from the back of the book so it matches the colour of the first page after the front cover.

I cant find a date in this book but it seems quite old, the page edges are not cut straight which gives me the feeling its an older book, also this disguises the fact the compartment part of the book is glued (The glue gives the compartment stability and holds the back of the book in one piece.) This book does show a few signs of wear but is actually in good condition for its age.

The size of the book is:

21.5 cm or 8.5" tall
14.5 cm or 5.5" wide
2.5 cm or 1" deep

The size of the compartment is:

16.5 cm or 6.5" tall
9.5 cm or 3.5" wide
1.8cm or 3/4" deep

I have tried to measure as close as possible but there may be tiny variations along the compartment.

Oh and by the way the "treasures" shown in the photographs are not included with the book.
