Approx 3cm x 1.5cm wood pendant with yew/iaho Ogham burnt onto the wood. ‘Yew’ on reverse. Comes with cotton cord so that it can be worn or used as a decoration or amulet.

The yew often represents wisdom and protection. Yew is often found near churches, the belief being that they would ward off any negative spirits.

In my village we have an ancient yew that takes 5 people holding hands around it to measure the girth! I always feel that the yew has the wisdom of having seen so many things, if only they could talk! It is almost like a keeper of secrets, a secret knowing wisdom.
This was the inspiration behind this piece. A piece to wear of hang symbolising a keeper of knowledge, wisdom and protection.
