This is another piece based on the oak tree that inspired The Mistletoe 'OAK' see my profile for the link to my blog for more on this! I love walking and being outside and this tree is like a marker. No matter what is happening the tree is there; from when I was tiny, as I have grown up and now as my children grow with it too. It has experienced, snow, hurricanes, harvests and all the elements.
This pendant captures the leaves that at the time of making, were just getting ready to fall.
It reminded me of how everything is in constant cycles of renewal, if only we just stopped and noticed. At the time the leaves appeared dark and spiralled down as they fell, so the pattern reflects this.
The tree like all of us stands the tests of time, and we all come out the other side.
