This beautiful jug is great as a feature piece by itself or with a lovely summery bevrage in. Looks fab with a great bunch of florals too!

Each item is hand thrown by myself in my little studio in beautiful Wiltshire.

Each piece is individual and will have its own unique shades and markings.

All work is microwave and dishwasher safe.

My work goes through a long lovingly made process. First the clay is wedged and weighed up. Each piece is then individually thrown and left loosely covered overnight to harden. I then turn them over to trim the bases back on the wheel. When I am happy with the work I will leave to slowly dry (if dried too quick there is a risk of cracking.) When completely dry after 1-2 weeks depending on size they will go into first firing to 1000degrees. After an 11hour firing and slowly cooling I can remove from the kiln to be glazed. Each piece is glazed in my own unique glazes and put back into the kiln for a second firing to a higher temperature of 1260degrees. When cooled slowly I can remove from the kiln and sand down any rough edges.
I love these processes as it leads to every piece having its own character, dependent on where it is placed in the kiln, how the glaze is applied and so many other things! This is what is so great about handmade pieces, two pieces are never identical!
