Clear Crackled Quartz Earrings

These earrings are made from Clear Crackled Quartz Plain Round Beads (approximately 12 mm), bead caps, metal beads and silver plated findings.

The stones come from The Genuine Gemstones Company which are 100% genuine gemstones so there will be some differences in colour saturation and size/shape of the stones.

The length of the earrings are approximately 4.3 mm long (1 3/4 in).

Colours: Clear, White and Silver.

-About Quartz-

Quartz is one of the largest family of gemstones and has been know as the chameleon of gemstones as throughout history its been used as a stand in for more expensive and luxurious gemstones.
Found around the world, Quartz comes in many forms ranging from Rose and Smokey Quartz, Amethyst, Citrine and Ametrine.

The Quartz I used in this design is know as Clear Quartz which has been heat treated, know as Quenched Crackle. Many in the gem world will not agree with this technique but it has been used for over a thousand years. Today its used to make our fashionable jewellery and called Crackle Quartz.
