Bocote is a gorgeous wood from Mexico and, despite displaying a wonderful contrast of cream-colored and black bands, still remains under the radar of most woodworkers.

Due to these pens being handmade to order, the colours might vary slightly. Please keep in mind that the natural colors of wood are not lightfast.

The colors will change over time, usually darkening and some may even fade, so ideally keep your real wood pen holders away from the sunlight. Don't be afraid to use your new pen, you will be using ink and will advantually get ink on it! That's ok, over time the finish will wear, there will be some ink stains and the pen will have unique personality like yourself. Have fun learning calligraphy!

Please note: Nib preference is often determined by your personal style; the price on this listing is only for the pen/nib holder with adjustable flange. Nibs are not included in this listing, unless arrangements are made in advance.

When I got engaged to be married, I ordered an amazing vintage looking Save the Date cards and was over the moon with the results. Only one thing remained, handwrite the envelopes but my handwriting was so appalling, even a doctor would struggle to read it.

That's when I discovered calligraphy and after every day practising I realised the calligraphy is an art and if I could produce a beautiful results, anyone could with enough practise. Unfortunately in many cases packages will not be released to be delivered until these charges are paid. Failure to pick up causes package to be sent back to seller.
