Swaddle blanket made in beautifully soft 100% cotton double gauze printed in a large painterly gingham check. The pretty turquoise and off-white gingham check is the perfect choice for a gender neutral baby gift, or where the sex of the baby is unknown.

Cotton double gauze is made from two layers of gauze stitched together during the manufacturing process. It is luxuriously soft (so gentle on baby's delicate skin), light as a feather and perfect for the warmer months. It is lightweight, breathable, easy to care for and will get softer with age.

This swaddle blanket is a generous 106 cm (42 inches) square and comes to you pre-washed (so no worries about shrinkage).

Not just for swaddling, this versatile blanket can also be used as a nursing cover-up, a soft baby towel, cuddle blanket, changing mat, pram or buggy cover or even a scarf.

I wanted to give my expectant mum friends a gift that was both useful and beautiful. Most of the commercial swaddle blankets I had seen were made of heavy flannel or jersey and printed in nursery patterns. When this double gauze arrived in the shops, I knew I had found what I needed - a modern take on the classic swaddling blanket.
