This tree creeper bid ornament is a handmade and hand printed paper sculpture. He is one of a kind.

He is printed in yellow-green, black and cream and he stands on sturdy wire feet.

He measures 9 x 5 x 15 cm (3.5 x 2 x 6 inches)

This bird sculpture would make a lovely paper anniversary gift for a bird lover, to celebrate a first year of marriage.

I designed my garden birds range based on doodles of visitors to my garden. I love watching them darting between the trees and hopping along the grass.

I began making paper sculptures as prototypes during my Design: Crafts degree, where I made my finished pieces using a variety of processes with metal, plastic and wood. Paper was always my first love and I always came back to it. Unlike other materials, it has so few limitations. It is so tactile, with endless possibilities that fuel my imagination. And I coould combine it with my love of print making.

A love of paper seems universal too. We all doodle or make paper airplanes or boats. I can't be left alone with paper without wanting to make a windmill!
