Item details

Both the base colours of this bag are velvet. The vicious pink part has a really deep pile and is good for stroking. The inside has French seams (double sewn) for strength and neatness. The handles are securely sewn.

All the fabrics are pre-washed so the bags will be able to be washed at a medium temperature without risk of shrinkage or colour runs.

More bags will follow soon so if you like the shape but the fabric or colour of this one doesn't float your boat, do keep watching this space. My plan is to make unisex shopping bags similar in size and shape but none of them will be exactly the same.

Recently I've been on the lookout for the perfect shopping bag - something that can be small enough to fold away in a handbag or just tuck in under your armpit when you start the day with the bare essentials, but that will be able to expand and hold loads when called upon. Plus it had to be both original and affordable.

Needless to say, I couldn't find one so decided to make my own. And if I want one, surely other people will too.

So after lots of rummaging through my fabric drawer and faffing about with the sewing machine, this beautiful bag is the first one I'm going public with.
