This A4 printed Illustration was created after I watched the film 'Room' which was a film made in 2015 in response to the book written by Emma Dononghue. It is about a 5yr old boy and his mum who live in a small shed in their abductors garden. The boy has never known anything other than the shed as his home. Without giving the film away, this Illustration depicts the imagination of the boy as he looks out of the window of his shed home. No space is too small for the imagination of a small child - that's basically what this Illustration is saying.
The image was created using my scanned in drawings and textures and then pieced together digitally on Photshop. The image has been printed onto 210gsm paper. It look good printed or left as a simple print.
I post my illustrations in a hard backed envelope wrapped in a cellophane envelope to ensure a safe journey to you.
After I watched this film, I kept thinking about it and wanting to watch it again. So I created an Illustration in response to the part of the film that stuck in my mind the most, it is quite different to my other work but I like it because it is quite ambiguous and clearly has a story behind it.
