I've been painting and drawing as long as I can remember, my earliest memory of success was at primary school where I won a competition for colouring in a frog (he had a spotty waistcoat and a bow tie in my version) and that very small victory seems to have sparked my passion!
After successfully completing art college specialising in Surface Pattern Design, I spent 17 years as a textile designer for a local bedding company, then (with two young children) moved to work in secondary schools firstly as an Arts Technician then as a Design Technology Technician.
I now work part time as a technician so I can concentrate on pet portraits. It's my passion!
