There is a wonderful coffee place near where I live called the Bear and Beignet. They took over their premises from a pub, and were left with much of the furntiture and decor from the previous business.
On one visit with my sons, I left with both a happy tummy and two chairs. This was one of them. The other is a carver, which will receive a totally different makeover and be added to my stock in due course.
As I worked on this chair, I kept saying to people "It wants to be black. It told me it wants to be black." Okay, maybe I'm daft, but was I wrong? Isn't it lovely?
Local pickup can be arranged as an alternative to postage (and postage costs reimbursed).
