This garment has been made using a Drops Cotton Light yarn made from 50% cotton and 50% polyester. The yarn is hand or machine washable at 30 degrees and garment should be pulled into shape whilst damp and dried flat. The yarn is very soft and gives good stitch definition.

The design I chose for this yarn works bands of open shell pattern between bands of a blank stitch. The yoke incorporates the cap sleeves and three buttons close the cardigan at the yoke allowing the body of the garment under the bust line to flair slightly into an A line contour. There are no traditional front bands and the buttons simply pass through the gap between stitches giving a certain amount of flexibility to the exact size of the garment. The cardigan has a real feel of quality to it and weighs in at approximately 400g.

This is a unique item, a true one of a kind.

Measurements are approximately 96cms (38") chest, neck to sleeve cap 25cms (10"), neck to hem 48cms (19").

This yarn has a substantial feel to it that needed a strong solid pattern to do it justice. With the weather now beginning to warm up after the winter months, this cardigan is an ideal layer to leggings and a long sleeved shirt. It would look good at work or as part of a more informal wardrobe.
