I re-discovered my love of printmaking in 2013, having enjoyed learning some techniques at Art Foundation some time before. I soon realised my main passion was for lino printing and I began creating bold designs and looking at how texture affects my work.

I love life drawing and, in this image, I have simplified the curvy female form into a few simple lines and surrounded her with complementary feminine curves of entwined flowers and leaves.

Full description

This print was inspired by my interest in Art Nouveau, with it's sensuous, flowing curves and focus on nature. My aim was to create a simple, bold image combining the female form with leaves and flowers. In this case, I used pink ink on a clashing orange background to create an eye-catching image.

The image itself measures 145x94mm (in mount). It is surrounded by a cream mount with outer dimensions of 202x148mm. Presented in cellophane packaging ready for framing or giving as a gift.
