Hand pulled copper plate etching from a plate of my own design. measures 6"x4". depicts a ship on the rough sea. This is one of only 8 prints from the copper plate. This image is printed on good quality printing paper (sorry I don't know paper specifics!)
This image is inspired by my fascination of travelling and the forces of nature. All of the prints from this plate are considerably different as I was experimenting with atmosphere so you would get the one pictured above. This is black ink on slightly off white paper. Frame is not included but could be if requested for additional fee.

Etching From a copper plate involves a large number of processes to prepare the plate, carve into it, set the image with the use of chemicals and then hand ink each print before hand pulling it. This results in a variation in how the prints turn out as more ink can be left on the background to provide atmosphere.

I like to draw ships as I think they are a thing of manmade beauty. From watching films like Pinocchio as a child I find them majestic and terrifying at the same time. I am an avid traveller and like to travel at a slow pace which the ship also signifies.
