I really wanted to capture the atmosphere of Venice, not just the scenes. I love how, when the sun is shining, everything feels better. Out early one morning, I took a photograph which inspired this atmospheric painting. To me, it feels full of sunshine, colour and that feeling of being on holiday, relaxed and happy and looking forward to a Prosecco or two in the evening.
