DANATHANOR 3D shaped Surfer Hand plane:

This one is my 3D shaped model.
This Hand plane is the perfect gift for a surfer.

The 3D hand plane is made of aero plywood and cork layered
Waterproof Glue. Marine varnish finish
Polyurethane strap with stainless steel marine fixings.

12.5'' x 7.5'' /32 cm x 19 cm .

Many samples of glue and finish combination as well as the different materials has been made and left for weeks in in sea water to make sure to gain the best durability. Many prototypes was also made to define the best ergonomic and position/shape of the handle.

The resulted hand planes was tested in the Atlantic sea and Channel Waves with my family and friends :)

Note: the Hawaiian turtle symbol is burned in the wood with the help of a brass mask and a fire gas gun.Consequently and due to the nature of the process the outline of the turtle slightly vary from a hand plane to other.

The Turtle symbol is inspired by The "Honu", or Hawaiian sea turtle, is the Hawaiian symbol of longevity, peace, good luck, humility, long life and the spirit within .Ive burned it into the wood with the help of a brass fire shield.
