My work has always revolved around horses, I started riding at 6 years old and I have been besotted with them since and they form the basis of my art practice.

I work in a mixture of materials, including reclaimed wood for the base and needle felted wool for the body of the horse.

I am offering the chance for you to commission a mixed media sculpture of your own horse or pony.... how lovely would it be to have a mini version of your best friend in your home?!

I can use a selection of images of your horse to build up a 3D sculpture, I will need one from each side and one from the front and back if possible, and then if applicable ones that show any unusual markings and where they are on the body. I can then make the sculpture in any position, from standing with all four feet on the base to dynamic poses raised up on dowel.

This listing is for a sculpture of one horse on one base (note that the image of the mare and foal is to show example positions only. Please contact me for larger commissions or for more than one horse on a base). The size of the sculpture does vary, but they are usually around 11-16" high depending upon the pose of the horse and the detail required.

The sculpture takes approximately three weeks from the time that payment and the required photographs have been received and it will be posted in a recycled box. Collection is also an option from Dudley please contact me if you would rather collect your sculpture.
