As I love knitting (and making dolls) and I can never stick to a pattern and I am a very neat worker I realised a while back that my sweaters etc look just as good whichever way they are worn - so I made that a feature of my work. I tend to work in man made fibres because I am allergic to anything else and the fact that items can continually be machine washed on a cool setting (useful for babies and toddlers). But I am aware that there is a big demand for the natural and beautiful yarns available which are inspirational to work with - I just can't wear them!
