Don't you just love rusting metal. The colours, texture, distorted shapes. I always try to include something that has rusted into my artwork. What lies beneath, is a good example, the rusty old bolt slide I pulled out of squelching sea mud at Appledore, Devon. I spotted something sticking out of the mud, gave a bit of a tug, it came out easy enough with a satisfying squelchy slurp. My shoes were in a bit of a state though, should have worn wellies, oh well, next time. The things you do for love.
