This is a colourful and friendly Illustration of the Sheffield Landmark, Abbeydale Picture House in Sheffield. This was inspired by stories told by people about their experience of visiting the Picture House, which I read about whilst selling at one of the car boots they have there. Also from my dad, who grew up in the city and used to visit to see a sunday matinee showing.

The Illustration depicts the Picture House bright and bustling, children and families rushing to see a screening. Abbeydale Road is busy, all is good on a weekend.

The image measures 29.5cm x 21cm and has a white space around the edge, making it ideal to frame. It has been printed at a local printers to a professional finish onto 210 gsm paper, which has a good, quality feel to it. It is also hand signed in the bottom, right corner underneath the title 'Abbeydale Picture House.'

The print would arrive to you in hard backed envelope, inside a cellophane packet to prevent creases and bends.

After visiting the monthly car boot sale that takes place at Abbeydale Picture House, I went inside the venue and was fascinated with the peeling paint and layout of the space. I remembered that my Dad said that he used to go swimming at Heeley Swimming Baths and then would go to a Matinee showing at the Picture House. I wanted to bring the try and depict that memory in my Illustration.
