Inspiration for this quirky fishing hut came when I noticed my wooden garden planter which had seen better days was falling apart. Not one to throw beautiful worn wood away or to burn on our wood burning stove (as my husband suggested) I set about saving what I could, this involved brushing dirt and earth away, washing and scrubbing the pieces then drying them in the summer sun. I then sanded each piece until I got the result I wanted then set about putting all the pieces together to make a hut. For the roof I used an upturned fishing boat. I left the door invitingly ajar, found metal to act as a hinge and handle and it was completed. I hope you like it.
