This is a hand-made quality wood framed back-lit copy of a vintage art print for use as a mains free occasional lamp or night light, designed and made by me - Paula.

The picture is a copy of an art-work that is over 70 years old and printed onto quality light-weight canvas that provides a beautiful ambient glow to enhance any setting. The natural wood is waxed, feels smooth and is easy to handle and hold.

The soft white LED lamp is completely self-contained, battery powered with a rocker switch on the side; this means it is without external wires or mains plug and provides complete freedom on where you hang or place it - inside or out (weather depending of course!)

The lamp is light-weight and easily portable and measures 29.5.cm x 21 cm x 4.5 cm. The lamp uses 3 X AA batteries and is fitted with picture hangers.

I have various vintage designs available that make quite exceptional gifts for Christmas, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries etc. However, personal photos and those of a special interest make for a truly individual and unique present.

This idea has been bubbling away for 3 or 4 years; I originally wanted to display some very lovely pictures and art-work from some old Victorian books of mine as back-lit pictures in my own home without having to be tied down to mains plugs and ugly wires everywhere. With the development of technology around LEDs and batteries (rechargeable - in my house), the idea has become more realisable, which combined with a little more time on my hands to develop the idea...here we are!
