A very stylish duo, ready to take pride of place on your wedding cake!
Although designed as cake toppers these unique birds would also make a quirky wedding gift or a fun decorative touch to the top-table.
The bride is made from a vintage white cotton with an ivory white wool felt breast. Her wings are cut from the same felt and topped with beautiful white lace appliques. She wears a vintage style birdcage net veil, fastened at one side with a stunning pearl and diamanté effect clasp,alongside two stylised lilac felt leaves.
The dashing groom is made from a linen effect cotton fabric in shades of charcoal contrasted with a smart ivory white felt breast. He wears a top-hat in the same lilac as the leaf detail on the veil worn by his bride. The hat has a band in a darker shade of purple felt and he wears a tie to match. In addition the groom sports a cream felt flower as a buttonhole alongside a single sage green leaf. The flower has a little lilac bead centre and contrast stitch detail that you can see in the photographs.
Each bird measures approximately 3 and half inches in length -the bride measures just about the same in height and the groom stands an extra inch taller due to his top-hat! Both birds have beaks cut from tan wool felt and black bead eyes. Bride and groom both stand confidently on copper wire legs.
