I made this pouch out of a recycled oatmeal tweed coat and lined it with some cream and red cotton taken from a pair of curtains. It fastens with a contrasting dark brown zip.
You can use this pouch for loads of different things. I use mine to bring some sort of order to all the flotsam and jetsam that swills around in the bottom of my bag. Make-up, travel cards, credit cards, odd coins, ipods, lipsticks etc.
Because each of my pouches started as something else (a wool kilt, a tweed jacket, a cotton shirt) they come with a unique numbered card that shows what they used to be, and where they came from – a sort of pouch birth certificate.
All fabrics are thoroughly washed before being reconstructed, and this pouch is machine washable on a wool setting.

Handmade in Hammersmith Pouch no. 322
With thanks to Marion who donated this amazing oatmeal tweed coat - she tells me it dates from her University days, so I imagine has a story or two to tell ...
