This is an original limited edition lino print of a Partridge & Pear Tree. Hand printed in an edition of 150.

After carving the block, Partridge in a Pear Tree is hand printed onto Japanese Simili paper using intaglio professional printmaking inks. Each print is an original work of art, numbered and signed by me, the artist!

Linocuts are original prints - not reproductions (or giclee). Each print takes time, care and skill to produce. Minor variations occur naturally through the printmaking process.

The print comes unmounted and unframed. It is board backed and wrapped in cellophane, carefully packaged for shipping.

A limited edition of 150 prints.

The 12 days of Christmas is a song that I've grown up with and is one of my favourite festive tunes. I choose a partridge in a pear tree for my Christmas print as I am very fond of game birds; I see them often on my walks in the countryside together with pheasants. The pear tree drawing came from the beautiful pears that I saw this summer at Barrington Court NT. They have a beautiful walled garden with an abidance of fruit and veg that they use the the cafe. If I remember rightly it poured down with rain the day we visited!
