In this 4-pass reduction linocut I wanted to depict a powerful sense of sunlight breaking through heavy clouds. Aldeburgh's Martello Tower sits majestically between the masts of waiting sailing boats and the weather-beaten wave-breaks on the beach. Strong sunlight breaking through foreboding clouds bathes the Martello Tower in a magical light.
