Beautiful Journal with my original 'Fishing Net Huts' linocut design hand-printed oatmeal cover on recycled card with approximately 90 leaves (180 sides) recycled smooth white paper (100gsm). Professional perfect binding. Free shipping in the U.K.
A delightful gift or treat for anyone who loves linocuts, the seaside, beach life or simply lovely stationery - this journal has a satisfyingly chunky feel whilst remaining light enough to keep at hand throughout the day.
Approximately: 14 x 20cm with a little over 1cm spine
After carving the lino block I then roll out the hand-mixed inks and hand-print the covers on a traditional etching press. Printed over the whole cover, the design extends across the front, back and spine.
This linocut design is printed using professional printmaking inks in black and comes wrapped in a glassine bag for protection, and packaged carefully for safe-shipping.
All journals are stamped on the inside back cover with the Inkyprints-Originals mark.
I was first drawn to these fishing net huts when I visited Hastings Old Town over twenty years ago. This summer I went back, taking my children with me this time and these huts haven't lost any of their structural and historical charm in the intervening years, if anything, I love them more.
