Lest we forget the horrors and human endeavours of WWI and conflicts since. Inspired by McRae’s ‘In Flanders Fields’ and Christina Rossetti’s ‘What is Pink?’, I created two poppy designs for last year’s Art Trail Wanstead theme ‘Make art not war’, to mark 100 years since the outbreak of WWI.
Each card is from an original drawing by me. All cards are printed on high quality hammered or linen card (255gsm) from James Cropper’s Papermill in Cumbria and cut to size by me (on my living room carpet!).
You’ll get a mix of the two designs: on blue and white backgrounds. Let me know if you have any preferences. (A black background works well too.)
The cards are £1.50 each and I'm not charging for postage.
Six cards (with envelopes) approx 5.3 inches x 3.3 inches
Poppies was my instant choice to capture our local Art Trail theme in 2014 ‘make art not war’, to mark 100 years since the outbreak of WWI.
