In my world my birds bring the colours of the skies. This is one from the series "The Sky is Flying".
This beautiful mosaic is mounted on white mount board and set into a black painted wooden box frame which has a plexi glass front. Size 22.5 width, 22.5 length, 4.5 cm depth.

I am revisiting an idea I had several years ago where I made subsequent works on the theme. It is the birds who make the colour of the sky! I cut the birds out of beautiful coloured glass tile. It is a challenge to find the right colours of the sunset and once I think I have them to make them work when they sit side by side. Sometimes they need a very subtle change of shade to make it work. Assembling the birds so there is as little space between them as possible whilst allowing each one to fly also requires some care.
