This card is super eco-friendly (as in, everything used came from the bin), and totally unique (as in, there is not another one the same)
I made ten of these houses last year, each one is different. I did not get around to listing them all in my shop. I only have a couple left, and will not be making any more with the same fabrics.
As always, they are made from used food packaging and clothes which have seen better days. I never use clothes that could otherwise be worn.
My ethos is to give new life to things that nobody else wants.
It measures 9.5cms x 9.5cms, when folded, and comes with a sewn upcycled envelope.
All of my work is individually numbered, this is 239.
In keeping with my ethos, it will arrive on your doormat in a sewn envelope, made from old magazines.

I always pass my children's clothes on to other children, however sometimes they are just too messy. I can never bring myself to throw them away.
The roof of this house was a purple gingham dress. Very special. I bought this in Scope, Lewisham, 2005. My daughter was three at the time, and was with me and a buggy-load of the usual fruit and veg we had just bought at the market. It must’ve been a Friday. It was a beautiful little shift dress that someone had hand-made for a small girl. It was perfect. There was a small red felt-tip mark at the hem, which I did not try to remove. My daughter wore it for years, first as a dress and then as a top over leggings. There are too many happy memories to mention in which this dress was present.
The grass is a blouse, once owned by my mam, she wore this to my sister’s graduation. It was perfect for the little hill on which the house stands.
The red house used to be my work uniform shirt.
