This photograph was taken on a Bronica medium format film camera, and is hand printed by me on Ilford Galerie fibre-based paper, using traditional darkroom techniques. The photograph measures 18cm square and is mounted with a high quality antique white window mount. The total size of the mounted print is 30cm square.

Each of my darkroom photographs is signed and numbered according to the edition. This is a real black and white photograph, not an inkjet print or other digital image.

I am currently taking a break from selling as I am embarking on an adventurous house move! Please call back in the New Year when I should be fully settled into my new home and workspace!

I am very lucky to live in the beautiful Peak District, and Lawrence Field is one of my favourite haunts for photography. The birch trees and soft grasses give the place a wonderful atmosphere and the place always seems filled with light and shade. This picture was made on a particularly magical morning in early autumn. I usually photograph using a tripod because my camera is big and heavy, but for this one I crouched down low and rested the camera in my lap. It is one of my favourite images.
