This vase has been partly thrown and partly hand built to give it a slightly asymmetrical shape. Once it was leatherhard a thick texture was applied and once bisqued, two layers of glaze applied to the piece. The second layer is a white glaze which turns a bright orange as it picks up copper from the Oribe glaze underneath. The rivulets of dolomite create some wonderful patterns as they cascade over the uneven surface.
The vase should hold water so could be used to display flowers. Measures approx. 5.5 inches tall and about the same across at its' widest point.
