This earrings stems from my love of 1940 and 50's fabric prints, which use the geometric shapes and linear lines to inspire scenes of plant life and astronomy motifs.
Using elements of organic shapes used in my range of jewellery, I have created these earrings that uses a material not often found in the Jewellery community- polyethylene plastic. I have created discs out of the white translucent material, as it adds a luminous feature to the earrings.
You could wear these earrings along with the choker, which you can find here on Folksy but by themselves, they will also act as a perfect gift for a loved one, or as a treat to spruce up your evening/day wear!
My ever growing range of jewellery is constantly developing, I look to create a collection that is both attractive and chic. Recently I have taken inspiration from fabrics of the 1940's and 50's as the geometric shapes, linear forms and colours captivate my imagination. My work is made by manipulating and combining a variety of materials. Sterling silver wire, tube, casting grains and sheet is used to create the geometric and linear forms, silver clay is used to add texture and contrast with fused glass 'drops' and polyethylene plastic introduce colour into my designs.
