Here we have a lovely hand made brooch.

This little beauty is handmade by my in my home studio in South Bristol. The birch slices are sourced locally from a fellow maker, which arrive cut and sanded.

The birch slice is measured and marked and I then use my hand drill to put the holes on the surface. Once this is done, I lightly sand the piece of wood to remove any bits of wood from the drilling process.

Then comes the fun part! I select colours which are bright and vibrant from my my extensive collection of rayon threads. If there is something in particular that you fancy then please drop me a message and I'm positive we can sort something out!

The colours here are inspired by citrus fruits, all zesty and punchy and ready to funk up an oufit, bag or hat!

I am obsessed with colour and pattern. I love it. The brighter and more intricate the better. I love to create layers of colours which seem to blend into each other effortlessly, but with closer inspection each colour can be admired and appreciated on it's own. That is where inspiration came from for my work. Wearable colour that you can glance at and be happy.
