Lovely bag following a design from Kaffe Fassett, adapted and changed to suit shopping needs better.
I use fabric's from the man himself, Michael Millar, Timeless Treasures, Laura Ashley, Ikea designers to name a few.
The bag is quilted (three layers) using natural fibre batting, Gutterman threads to give excellent hems, and a very sturdy and safe bag.
Size - Once made up The bag measures approximately 18" high by 10" Wide, (not including the handles). It is a larger than normal bag, and due to it's construction it is also very sturdy. Good enough to carry your potatoes ad other heavy (ish) shopping.

There are 12 fat quarters in all, plus the batting/wadding and at least two reels of thread. All in all two full day's of work goes into the construction also. From that you can appreciate the time, effort and energy (not to mention the blood sweat and tears) that have been used up creating this masterpiece.

I also have some Xmas fabrics, so if you wished to create a Xmas hamper tote bag, this would be perfect (I'm sure I can create a wine bag to match). Or some princess fabrics to create a lovely tree present that actually has present's inside!

I made the bag in the pictures to raffle off raising funds for the women and children displaced from their own homes by Civil War. An attempt to stop anymore children from being forced into sex slavery by the oppressors. I enjoyed making the bag so much that I'm making more, however, you can pick your own colours and I'll put it all together for you, just as you want... see description
