I always take my tools and jewels on holiday with me, as there is always so much inspiration. I made this after watching a documentary about a lovely lady, who although was very wealthy and lived as a dutchess, had absolutely no sense of self-importance, was completely humble and was the most unpretentious person I have ever witnessed. She shopped at ASDA, she wore the same dresses to all the evening ceremonies she attended and was also very quick to point out that she married into the riches in which she lives, not because she had earned it in a monetary sense. I loved her honesty and her warm demeanor. This carnelian bracelet is just that. It isn't the triple A grade perfect carnelian. Better than that, it is the rough-cut gemstone chips that went through their colour changes by heat, at different levels throughout their journey to become an entire spectrum of the stone, in which I think can be appreciated so much more.
