I was looking for new things to make from polymer clay and decided to try a hairslide or 2.
Handcrafted from polymer clay using a technique called mokume gane with a texture sheet.
The main colour is a clay called Magenta Pearl which may have to be described as a fuchsia but isn't quite.
The slide fastener measures 2" or 5cm and the top is just a little bigger all round.

I enjoy playing with colour and polymer clay is a great medium for that.
One of my favourite techniques is called mokume gane (a Japanese term).
I am always looking for new things to make from my clay sheets and hadn't seen any really special colourful hairslides - so this is the beginning.
