These beautiful Murano glass teardrop beads have a centre of real gold foil incorporated into the design, with fleckles and speckles of blue, green and red dotted around. A layer of clear glass overlays this, creating a truly lovely bead. The gold beads are teamed with a cream Swarovski pearl, and fitted with safety hooks in gold filled metal. All metal used is gold filled - a thick layer of gold is placed over a base metal, and the gold is far thicker than 'gold plate' metal, and should never fade or rub off. This pair of gold murano earrings is one of a kind; there is a matching necklace that is also listed that would make up a lovely set for a special occasion.

The bead is approximately 14mm long, and the drop from base of ear hook is 3cm. These lovely golden earrings will be sent via a signed-for delivery service.

I really appreciate the skill and tradition that artisans employ to create beautiful jewellery. These beads are hand made on the Island of Murano, Venice, and the techniques are the same as those used centuries ago. No mass production here, and each bead differs due to this handmade technique. It's wonderful to be able to make affordable jewellery with these beads, which look, and indeed are, quite stunning.
