This is a close up image created in textiles of the beautiful common limpet. I have used a variety of techniques such as hand embroidery and machine embroidery to create the gorgeous markings I see on these hardy little guys.
I have used quite muted colours in this piece and I think it would would look beautiful in any home.
It is presented in a white wooden box frame with a glass front.

I live on the Yorkshire coast and Limpets are such a prevalent creature on all our coastal areas. They form little communities and are such tough little things, often housing many other little creatures on their hardy shells. Sometimes, the most common things in your world are overlooked and almost forgotten about. I wanted to bring focus to these beautiful little fellows.
