This is an original hand pulled collagraph print with a limited edition of 50.
Hand printed onto an original page from an old, vintage children's book
using an intaglio printing press
and Akua water based ink
Hand tinted

This is a original hand printed piece of art, hand pulled through an etching press, not a reproduction pumped out of a computer desk top printer!

Signed and dated and showing the number in the series of prints

The page taken from original children's book on which I will print the image will not necessary be the page shown.

All prints are hand pulled, and therefore no two prints are exactly the same, there will be subtle variations.

Collagraph Print:
Print created from a card plate made by adding fabric, paper and other textures.
The plate is then inked, wiped and printed through the intaglio process, the ink is trapped within the textures to produce an image.

Shoes can mark status, gender, ethnicity, express ones hobbies and interests and are an integral part of fashion.
Shoes are a very strong visual sign that portrays ones personality and character.
Shoes feature in our folklore and fairy tales.
Oh! What the heck! I just love shoes......................!

These are Clarke's sandals, which I associate with my childhood, reading Enid Blyton books and a mad love of ponies
