Oblong pure wool cushion of a Newlyn harbour scene 'Through the Gaps' from an original photograph by Newlyn photographer / blogger Laurence Hartwell. The photo has been optimised on computer and printed / knitted on a computer hacked domestic knitting machine in Cornish lambswool. The fifth photo shows the original photo in low resolution.

This is available in black and cream. 12" x 20" (31 cm x 51 cms) with a feather down insert.

After manipulating the pixels of the image the design is downloaded onto an obsolete domestic knitting machine by hacking into it with a shield and micro computer so that a laptop can take over the needle selection and therefore the patterning device of the machine.

Hand finished with a zipped side enclosure.

Hand wash in hot water.

I draw inspiration from the beautiful coastline and harbours of Cornwall. These images of Mounts Bay are what I see every fine day when I take a break from my home studio to stroll down to Penzance Promenade or cycle down to Newlyn Harbour. I feel fortunate to live in such a beautiful place.
