This quilt came about when I had too many scraps lying around every where and needed to use them up. And lets face it who doesn't love that well know design by Orla Kiely. And so I was inspired to make this quilt.

It measures aprox 175cm x 114 cm so would sit quite nicely on a single bed or toddlers bed. But would also look gorgeous hanging on the side of a chair or settee.

The Batting is a good quality 80% cotton 20% polyester mix that gives the quilt a good weight and is machine washable at 40 degrees, although I recommend 30 degrees with minimal or no spin.

I have real trouble throwing away even the smallest piece of fabric and so it all gets collected in a little basket ( which has actually be replaced with a big basket) I use a lot of the scraps to make Mini Magnetic Bunting but I just fancied using trying something different. I probably did a good job of using up about half of my scraps with this quilt .......although since finishing it and listing it on here it might have filled up again.
