Item details

This beautiful 'Elusive Blue' Aston was made at the Feltham factory in 1958.

Although never featured in a James Bond film (production having ceased years before the franchise commenced) the MKIII was the Aston Martin driven by '007' in Ian Fleming's novel, Goldfinger.

This car is believed to have been exhibited on the Aston Martin stand at the Earls Court Motor Show, 22nd October to 1st November 1958. At that time it, possibly uniquely, had the fog and spot lamps recessed in the radiator grill, unlike the present standard fittings.

In 1965, it was raced at the Silverstone Circuit as number 37 and is known to have won a handicap race.
