I wanted to combine shibori and modern tie dye. This piece combines frost dying techniques with kumo shibori tying techniques to produce random psychedelic colour variations with clear white spiderweb motifs. It was an exciting piece to make and I hope to do more shibori/tie dye cross over projects in the future, combining vibrant colours and traditional shibori binding.
