A Journal or Notebook with Pink Circle design covers and pages of handmade Indian paper, in ten rainbow colours. An ideal gift for a colour-loving lady, or perhaps for a teenager.

The covers are of Indian paper in hot pink, with a design of gold concentric circles, arranged in overlapping fan shapes. The centre of each circle is magenta glitter.

Covers are lined with handmade mulberry paper, in magenta.

There are forty pages in total, in ten sets. Each set has a different coloured outer pair of pages, with white inner pages. All are hand moulded cotton-rag paper, from India, with their natural deckled edges intact and a surface textured by the moulds used to make each individual sheet.

The pages are suitable for most types of pen (but marker may bleed through - please test), plus dry media and some paint, as long as it isn't too wet (in which case, the page would buckle a bit, as the fibres shrink and expand unevenly). So you could use this as a sketchbook or art journal.

The book is hand bound in Coptic Stitch, with bright orange hemp cord.

The size of this book is A5 (21cm x 15cm / 8" x 6" approx) and pages are a little smaller.

I recently bought these sheets of wonderfully bright, colourful Indian paper. They are hand made, in traditional moulds, from 100% cotton rag pulp and still have the marks and uneven edges from the mould process. I love this kind of paper and wanted to make something worthy of such a wonderful, tactile material.
The brightness of another Indian-made cover paper and Asian mulberry paper for the cover linings have made a gorgeous book, that I hope will bring sunshine to you every time you use it!
