This is a beautiful mid grey and yellowy green pin cushion made of quality wool felt. It is a delightful pin cushion which would stand out in your sewing box.
I have embroidered a fabulous bouquet of flowers onto the grey side of this pin cushion using numerous different types of stitches. The thread is a variegated blue/green/pink colour for the flowers, pale blue for the French knot ‘buds’ and green for the leaves and stems. A bow of bright yellow thread pulls all the flower stems together and each flower has a centre knot of the same colour.
The mid grey square top has been scalloped and sewn to the yellowy green back in a way that shows off the scalloping from the front.
It is filled with plastic beads and is approx.11 cm square.

I have worked in flower shops over the years making bouquets and all the trimmings. I love flowers and bringing this grey wool felt to life with a bursting bouquet just seemed the right thing to do!
