I did a Limited Edition of this model in Cold Cast bronze which all sold and I also cast a few in Coloured resin. This is one of two " pepper" ones that I have left. I also have two "Mustard" coloured ones in my Folksy shop. I built the original in modelling wax, then using silicon rubber I create a mould of several layers followed by a plaster jacket to support the casting.
The original is removed from the mould and the mould cleaned before applying a thick gel coat of coloured resin and then back filled with more resin.
Once cured the cast is turned out, any small imperfections such as air bubbles are retouched. I then hand paint the model with Acrylics and apply a felt base.

This little Dandie measures 5.5" from nose to rear of base x 3.5" H x 3"D
Weight approx. 350g

As each one is individually hand painted please allow for slight variations in colour

I made the original of this model as a result of a friend having several Dandies and often saying that she could never find Dandie Models.
They are very attractive dogs with an appealling soft expression. As terriers they are quite laid back and have lovely characters although I'm sure that given the chance they would be of across the fields hunting and digging. Their coats require a considerable amount of preparation for the show ring and even being kept as pets they require a regular trip to the doggie parlour.

I know of at least two of the Limited Edition Cold cast bronze Dandies that were presented as Dog show trophies.
